Overview of Jincheng City
Jincheng City is located in the southeast of Shanxi Province, at the southern end of the Taihang Mountains, and is an important gateway from Shanxi to the Central Plains. The total area of the city is 9490 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 1 district (urban area), 1 city (Gaoping City), 4 counties (Zezhou County, Yangcheng County, Lingchuan County, Qinshui County), and a permanent population of 2.1893 million people (2022 data). In 2022, the total regional GDP of the city reached 230.56 billion yuan.
Jincheng is a national forest city and an excellent tourist city in China, known as the "Pearl of Taihang Mountains". It is a famous hometown of coal and iron and ancient architecture, as well as an important energy base and clean energy demonstration zone in Shanxi Province.
