Overview of Alxa League
Alxa League is located in the west of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the west of the the Inner Mongolian Plateau. It is the largest league city with the smallest population in China. The total area of the league is 270000 square kilometers (equivalent to the sum of the areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces), with 3 banners (Alxa Left Banner, Alxa Right Banner, Ejina Banner) under its jurisdiction, and a permanent population of 262300 people (2022 data). In 2022, the total regional GDP of the entire league reached 40.72 billion yuan.
Alxa League is an important ecological functional zone and national defense research base in China, known as the "Chinese Secret Land" and "Holy Land of the Sky". It is one of the three major Populus euphratica forest areas in the world and an important space launch and national defense research base in China.
