Overview of Qiqihar City
Qiqihar City is located in the western part of Heilongjiang Province and is a sub center city of Heilongjiang Province. It is an important national equipment industry base and commodity grain base. The total area of the city is 42400 square kilometers, with 7 municipal districts (Longsha District, Jianhua District, Tiefeng District, Fularji District, Ang'angxi District, Nianzishan District, Meilisi Daur District), 8 counties (Longjiang County, Yi'an County, Tailai County, Gannan County, Fuyu County, Keshan County, Kedong County, Baiquan County), and 1 county-level city (Nehe City) under its jurisdiction. The permanent population is 4.067 million (2022 data). In 2022, the total regional GDP of the city reached 131.81 billion yuan.
Qiqihar is an important old industrial base and green food base in China, known as the "Crane City", "Steel Machinery City", and "City of Barbecue". It is also an important equipment industry base and ecological tourism city in China.
