Langfang City is located in the central part of Hebei Province, in the core hinterland of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, and is an important hub city connecting the two municipalities directly under the central government of Beijing and Tianjin. The total area of the city is 6429 square kilometers, with 2 districts (Guangyang District, Anci District), 2 county-level cities (Sanhe City, Bazhou City), 6 counties (Xianghe County, Yongqing County, Gu'an County, Wen'an County, Dacheng County, Dachang Hui Autonomous County), and a permanent population of 5.5382 million people (2022 data). In 2022, the total regional GDP of the city will reach 356.53 billion yuan, with high-end manufacturing, modern service industry, and airport economy as the leading industries.
Langfang, known as the "Pearl of the Beijing Tianjin Corridor", is a national forest city, a national health city, and a forefront of coordinated development in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. It is also an important part of the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (Langfang area).
